George Butterick V (He/They) Is a theatre artist currently based in Ashland, Oregon. While having a BFA focused in performance, George is a multi-faceted artist and dabbles in other aspects of theatre such as producing, playwriting, and directing.
As a producer George was the founder and artistic director for two years of Oracle Theatre Company, as well as being a producer for the 2024 Oregon Fringe Festival, the 2025 Ashland Fringe Festival, and the founder of Zanni Nation, a theatre troupe specializing in Commedia Dell’Arte.

George will be playing the role of Mac as well as understudying Donald in Camelot Theatre Company’s You Can’t Take It With You.
George will be in the ensemble as well as understudying Jerry in Camelot Theatre Company’s Sugar.

Zoo Zoo with Imago Theatre Company
This December George understudied Imago Theatre’s Zoo Zoo, in Portland, Oregon. While he didn’t go on it was a wonderful experience and a great opportunity to connect with a childlike sense of wonder.
Safety First
On December 6th, Zanni Nation premiered it’s latest show, Safety First as a part of the Ashland Sarcasm Festival where George got to showcase his sleight of hand and skills as a juggler playing Bagatino.
Ashland New Plays Festival
This October, George worked as a production assistant and assistant stage manager for the Ashland New Plays Festival working on three of the five new plays selected for the festival.
