George Butterick V Is a multi-faceted theatre artist currently based in Ashland, Oregon. While having experience with all ends of the production process, he specializes in musical and physical theatre.
As a producer George was the founder and artistic director for two years of Oracle Theatre Company, as well as being a producer for the 2024 Oregon Fringe Festival, the 2025 Ashland Fringe Festival, and the founder of Zanni Nation, a theatre troupe specializing in Commedia Dell’Arte.

Upcoming Projects:
March through April George will be in the ensemble as well as understudying Jerry in Camelot Theatre Company’s Sugar.
In May, George will take part in Zanni Nation’s latest production of Maritime Madness for the Ashland Fringe Festival, featuring the music of Balladir.

Ashland Sneak Preview
George’s work in Collaborative Theatre Project’s My Fair Lady as Henry Higgins was mentioned in the category for best theater performance in Ashland Sneak Preview. George was pleased to see his co-star Julia Gibbs won her category for her work as Eliza Doolittle.
Zoo Zoo with Imago Theatre Company
This December George understudied Imago Theatre’s Zoo Zoo, in Portland, Oregon. While he didn’t go on it was a wonderful experience and a great opportunity to connect with a childlike sense of wonder.
Safety First
On December 6th, Zanni Nation premiered it’s latest show, Safety First as a part of the Ashland Sarcasm Festival where George got to showcase his sleight of hand and skills as a juggler playing Bagatino.
